Ashok Bhasin born on 1955 and graduating from Hindu College, Delhi University, Ashok Bhasin joined Customs & Central Excise department in 1976. During his service tenure, he pursued his studies further and did his M.A. in Philosophy and LLB from Delhi University. He left the department in 1996 and started practicing as an advocate, getting himself enrolled under Bar Council of Delhi. He is a member of Delhi High Court and Supreme Court Bar Associations. His knowledge of different subjects and his experience as an advocate made him curious as to whether he could write a novel and that too a mystery or suspense.
My inspiration to write this book was, I am a strong believer that the spark of young age shall be kept alive even in the late stage of life and there is nothing better way than to write a book, particularly a fiction. It keeps one’s imagination alive.

It Was Not Gold
Two passengers coming from Dubai were intercepted by the customs and 40 kgs. of gold was detected. The passengers were arrested and produced in the court. The seized gold on testing was found to be made of brass instead of gold leading to suspicion of substitution.
